自ら学ぶ力を引き出せるよう こどもたちにとことん寄り添います
こどもたちの自尊心や社会性は、周囲の人々との温かい信頼関係の中で育っていきます。家族や自分の住む地域、国、世界とかかわりあうなかで「自分の夢」をもち、社会性はさらに広がり豊かになっていきます。
「自分の夢」をもつためには、自己肯定感や達成感、幸福感などが必要になります。「わたしにもできる」という自信や、自分らしい確かな幸福のイメージを育んでいくためにどうすればよいのでしょうか。
たくさんの「本物」に出会う体験は、ドキドキ・ワクワクするものです。その体験は知識を超えたインパクトとして心の中に残ります。心を動かす出会いが意欲を生み、意欲は豊かな体験につながり、夢に向かって生きていく力を育みます。
みんなの家では、こどもたちが「知りたい」「かかわりたい」と思う「もの」「こと」にふれる機会を、こどもたちとともにつくっていけるよう努力しています。
この出会いは「やりたいこと」「なりたい自分」を見つけるきっかけにつながるでしょう。
こうした学びが心を豊かにし、自己肯定感や達成感、幸福感や「わたしにもできる」という自信を高め、自らの志をもってグローバル時代にしなやかに、また、たくましく生きていく力につながると信じています。
Children's self-esteem and social skills develop as they build caring and trusting relationships with the people around them. Their growth is enhanced by interaction with family, the neighboring community, and the larger world.
In order for children to have their own dreams, they need a positive self-image, a sense of accomplishment, and a feeling of happiness. Then, how can we help children to develop self-confidence and contentment?
Having genuine and authentic experiences is thrilling for the children. These experiences remain in their hearts as an indelible impression that goes beyond knowledge. Such experiences that move their hearts create motivation and nurture the power to live toward their dreams.
At Minna no Ie/ House for All, we strive to offer opportunities for children to broaden their horizons and discover their potentials. These opportunities encourage them to discover what they want to do and what they want to become in our global society.
