みんなの家に参加していただいたご家族から、嬉しいお言葉をいただきましたのでご紹介します。

「みんなの家」の先生のみなさんと展子先生へ：

私たちは、9歳の息子に、温かく、教育的で、愛情のある環境を与えて頂いて深い感謝の意を表したいと思います。

私たちは毎年3〜6ヶ月間にかけて日本に家族を訪ねているので、彼の日本語学習をサポートし、友情を築くのに役立つ放課後プログラムを探していました。「みんなの家」を訪れて最初の5分以内に、私たちは信じられないほど特別な場所を見つけたと思いました。私たちは、それぞれの子供達に感情的、知的、言語的なサポートを提供すると同時に、友情、ケア、責任の共有の感覚を育む4人の素晴らしい教育者に迎えられました。

主に英語を話す息子は、それぞれの子供達の強みを見て、個々の目標とニーズをサポートするバイリンガル環境で完全に受け入れられました。

展子先生と他の先生の皆さんは、生徒達に主体性を与えながら、安全、リーダーシップ、構造を提供するという珍しいバランスを習得していました。生徒達は好奇心、創造性、自信そして喜びを育みます。それは驚くべき組み合わせであり、私たちはそれを見つけたことをとても幸運に感じています。来年の春に戻ったら、絶対にまた参加します。

私たちは息子に「みんなの家」の経験はどんなものだったか聞いてみました。「参加した事は、とても心温まる、喜び、そして素晴らしいことでした。先生たちは本当に素晴らしかったです。」彼は退屈に感じた他の放課後のプログラムに参加した事があるのですが、彼はいつも毎週月曜日の「みんなの家」へ行く時間になるとドアから興奮して走って行っていました。彼は特に自家製のおやつと実践的な活動が大好きでした。

私たちは、「みんなの家」の家庭的なコミュニティに本当に歓迎されていると感じました。私たちは、先生のみなさんが提供してくれたおもてなし、スキル、そしてケアに深く感謝しています。それは本当に魔法のようです。

Dear  “みんなの家”all teachers and Nobuko-Sensei: 

We want to share our deep appreciation and gratitude for the warm, educational, and loving environment you’ve created for our nine year old son.

Because we spend 3–6 months each year visiting family in Japan, we were searching for an after‑school program that could support his Japanese learning and help him build friendships. Within the first five minutes of visiting “みんなの家”, we knew we had found an incredibly special place. We were welcomed by four wonderful educators who offer each child emotional, intellectual, and linguistic support, while also cultivating a sense of friendship, care, and shared responsibility.

Son, who primarily speaks English, was embraced fully in a bilingual environment that truly sees the strengths of each child and supports their individual goals and needs.

Nobuko Sensei and the teachers have mastered a rare balance to provide safety, leadership, and structure while also giving students voice and agency. They nurture curiosity, creativity, confidence, and joy. It is a remarkable combination, and we feel so fortunate to have found it. When we return next spring, we will absolutely join again.

We asked son to share his thoughts, and he said: “It was very heartwarming, joyous, and wonderful to be a part of it. The teachers were amazing.” He has attended other after‑school programs that felt boring to him, but he was always excited to run out the door to “みんなの家”. He especially loved the homemade treats and hands‑on activities.

We truly felt welcomed into a home and a community we will always carry with us. We are deeply grateful for the hospitality, skill, and care the teachers provide. It is truly magical.
